Proposal in Boston

After spending a fun and incredible day with Yannick's best friend Roberto and his fiance' Kim touring the city and laughing, Yannick and I went back to my hotel room to spend some time together on our last night of my being there in Boston.

We talked a little, cuddled a lot, and just enjoyed being with each other for the hour that he promised he'd stay before I had to take him home.

My mom called us to sing us some xmas carols during Advent, and we had fun listening to the songs in German. The family loved being able to share it with us.

About 10 minutes after we got off the phone with my mom, Yannick looked at me and told me that they have specific traditions that are supposed to be followed, but that he was going to go against one of them. The first thought that came to my mind was he was going to say he was tired, and wanted to stay over. I had come to the conclusion that he wasn't going to ask me because of how late it was, so my mind automatically thought of something different than that option.

He looked at me, and he said, "Will you marry me?" With me in his arms, I looked at him, unbelievably shocked, and said yes. We kissed a whole lot, and I started crying like a blubbering idiot. He was patient with me and supportive of my outburst of tears, and told me I looked beautiful.

We both sat there, talking, basked in happiness and bliss, and continued to take advantage of every moment we had together.

I was given my ring, beautiful, of course, and I gave him three promise rings signifying the past, present, and future, and promised to love him forever.

I still haven't stopped smiling, and am so happy!!! He's the man of my dreams, the man I know I'm supposed to be with. The one who will love and take care of me for the rest of our lives, and the one that will cherish and adore me, and only me, as long as we both shall live. I will take care of him, any moment he may need it, and will stand by his side through any trial that comes upon us. He is my rock, my soul, my heart, my everything. I love him so much.

So, point of story? I'm officially engaged!!!! Hehe.

I love you, Yannick. Thank you for giving me such an incredible gift.

Update on Enigma (me)

Okay, so let's see if I can catch everyone up in a short amount of time. I took this semester off school because I was going to shoot myself in the head if I did not. And also because I was utterly ashamed of the fact that that I totally failed Statistics!!! I'm trying again next semester, hopefully it treats me better, and then I'll be a bonafied college graduate.

I work a hundred hours a day, and still get paid very little (for the amount of hours I put in; however, I deserve that little pay because all I do is sit, watch movies, listen to music, crochet, and play around). So never mind, I love my job.

My friends are all the same, I spend time with very few, a select few, whom I love dearly.

*I just sneezed twice.. TWICE!!!!*

I have possibly changed my major from Child Development and Family Studies, to Art History... hmm... wonder which I'll actually end up doing. Either way, it'll be a few years before I start that part of my life.

I'm re-modeling my apartment, and it's coming along beautifully, (If you count three weeks behind because of black mold everywhere beautifully). But when all is said and done, I'll have hardwood floors, neutral colored walls, a stainless steel kitchen, a new couch, and possibly a new t.v.

My dogs are okay, Siesmo is doing well, but Wiley is starting his descent into senior-hood. He's become incontinent (sp?), blind, deaf, senile, with possible liver disease, diabetes, kidney disease, and skin tumors. But? On the plus side? The vet recognized his energy and was extremely pleased with this. It was implied that I should keep him alive and take care of him while he has this energy, and I'm going to!!!! We'll deal with all the physical attributes that are failing in due time. He is on anti-inflammatories for his hurt leg, though.

My love life? Well, this one is interesting. I have found the real love of my life, the person I want to spend the rest of my life with, and if possible, all eternity. His name is Yannick, and he's from Boston, but soon to be Utah (In a year or more). We visit each other, and love every moment together. He's a good man, and he treats me well, and he's the most loving individual I've ever met.

As for other parts of my life? I don't know, I can't remember...haha.. if you have any questions you can ask, how's that?

Oh, send out loves to Cy, she broke her foot, and is ill with the meds.. poor cousin.

Weekend Vacations!!

So friends and I went to Eden, Utah, for the weekend to get away and relax for a few days to get rid of every day stress and monotony. I'm pretty sure, at least for me, that it was a successful vacation. No one died, no one fought, and no one tried to beat anyone up!!! So, drama-free!! We didn't have a few people that would have added to the trip, but we had a couple additions that spiced it up and provided more laughs and fun than I'd had in months. I even played tennis, and swam!! Yes, I got into a bathing suit in front of other people.. it's a miracle! haha. Anyway, it was a good trip, it's sad to be back home and back to real life.

Also, I already start school again on Wednesday.. EEK!!!

Infringement on our rights as citizens?

Three years ago a bill was passed (without the vote of the Senate) to implement a new ID card that will replace our drivers license.

With this ID card, there will be a chip inside it that is scanned and will give whoever scanned it access to all of our information. Our names, addresses, social security numbers, work information, our credit scores, etc... In essence, buying groceries, you'll have to scan your ID card to pay, so that teller will know all your information. The ID cards also have a tracking chip implanted in them so the government knows where you are AT ALL TIMES.

They know what isle in the store you're walking down!

This is not joke, you can find more information on this passed bill at the ACLU website.

There are 10 states that have said, "NO," we're not implementing this ID card into our state, and a few others that are saying no, unless they're forced. Utah is one state that is against this implementation.

Hillary Clinton, and Obama, are both against implementing this into our country, but McCain is for it.

We're prided in this country for our ability to keep our privacy. We value our freedoms and privacy, and now the government wants to create a cookie-cutter, robot-living, Minority Report-like life for all its citizens.

What can we do to help? Write to your congressmen and tell them you are against this implementation. Our representatives are there to speak tfortheir constituents (we, the people), so raise your voices high, and let's fight this. I like my privacy, and I assume you do, too.

Utterly disgusted

Music These Days

Okay, so where do people come up with music these days? When our lyrics come to this:

This is why I'm hot, this is why I'm hot, this is why, this is why, this is why I'm hot. I'm hot cuz I'm fly, you ain't cuz you're not. This is why, this is why, this is why I'm hot.

and:

Don't you wish your girlfriend was hot like me. Don't you wish your girlfriend was fly like me.

What the hell people???!!?? How do people honestly make millions off of these lyrics? There's no talent involved at all. I don't understand it. Oh well, guess I'm just too old-fashioned. I'm sure some absolutely love it, and I shouldn't judge.... except I'm going to !!! Stupid people who like music like that..haha. (No offense Marissa).

I think we all have more class than that, at least I hope.

That's all for now, I'm just really, really annoyed.

Read up on some interesting shiznit !

Okay, so I have a friend named Andrew, who is currently in jail. (One of Robbie's friends for those of you who keep up on my life). He has asked me to create a blog page for him, which I've done, about prison life. I think it's interesting, and insightful. Don't tell me you are not interested in knowin what goes on in there, and what life in there is like. He's providing a lot of information, and works really hard on writing these blogs, so please take a look, leave comments, ask questions for him to answer, but most of all, try not to judge him too harshly, he's a good man. He did bad things, but he's a good man underneath all that trivial shit that he's doing time for. So, please, take a look at it. The link is on my Links portion of my page, and I don't think you'll be sorry !!! As for what's new with me? Well, I'm leaving for Illinois on Friday to spend my birthday with Robbie. I will be gone until next Wednesday. Don't forget about my birthday party people !!! Everything is going well. Lenscrafters still sucks, but there's nothing I can do about that one. Anyway, enjoy Andrew's blog, and I'm finally posting again !!! Loves and kisses.
